"I’m a big fan of Jay-Z, but outside of the States and hip-hop circles, no one really knew who he was until he married Beyonce. The G-Unit rapper has also disputed reports that Jay-Z is worth an estimated $1 billion, but is adamant he’s not jealous of his fortune. He adds, “I don’t believe he’s worth that much! It’s all been exaggerated. I’m comfortable. I don’t want for anything so I’m not in a race."

Movie looks amazing! "Oscar worthy"? Of course, this is all based on a teaser trailer.

Release Date: December 25, 2008

trailer

"I was born under unusual circumstances." And so begins "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," adapted from the 1920s story by F. Scott Fitzgerald about a man who is born in his eighties and ages backwards: a man, like any of us, who is unable to stop time. We follow his story, set in New Orleans from the end of World War I in 1918, into the 21st century, following his journey that is as unusual as any man's life can be. Directed by David Fincher and starring Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett with Taraji P. Henson, Tilda Swinton, Jason Flemyng, Elias Koteas and Julia Ormond, "Benjamin Button," is a grand tale of a not-so-ordinary man and the people and places he discovers along the way, the loves he finds, the joys of life and the sadness of death, and what lasts beyond time.

Release Date: December 26, 2008

Superstar Tom Cruise heads an international cast as Col. Claus von Stauffenberg, the aristocratic German officer who led the heroic attempt to bring down the Nazi regime and end the war by planting a bomb in Hitler's bunker. The "July 20 Plot" on Hitler's life is one of the most heroic but least known episodes of World War Two. Severely wounded in combat, Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg returns from Africa to join the German Resistance and help create Operation Valkyrie, the complex plan that will allow a shadow government to replace Hitler's once he is dead. But fate and circumstance conspire to thrust Stauffenberg from one of many in the plot to a double-edged central role. Not only must he lead the coup and seize control of his nation's government... He must kill Hitler himself.

Multi-platinum selling rapper 50 Cent will make his directorial debut in the upcoming film Before I Self-Destruct, set to hit theaters this winter.

According to Rolling Stone, 50 will be in full control of the movie, the movie is tagged with the same title as his forthcoming album, but he has no intention of making it music-based.

“When [movies] portray certain lifestyles they don’t show cause and effect,” he explained. “But I showed characters under pressure in scenarios where they felt like there were no other options, even though there were. There are always options. People just usually start to see them while being incarcerated — for not seeing them in the first place.”

Before I Self-Destruct album and film are both to be released on December 9.

Blaine begins what will be 3 long days of hanging upside down 60 feet above the parks skating rink without a net or food and only turning upward for short periods to have liquids and restore his circulation. Doctors say the increase in blood pressure will raise the risk of stroke or blindness, and gravity could restrict the blood flow to his lower extremities. If he makes it to Wednesday night (which he said would be 84 hours without sleep) the stunt will end with Blaine being released and flying towards the pavement.

Run-D.M.C Nominated for Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Run DMC

According to AllHipHop.com, living Hip-Hop legends Run-D.M.C. are among the artists being considered to be inducted into the prestigious Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation.

The rap group joins esteemed acts like Little Anthony and the Imperials, Jeff Beck, Metallica, Bobby Womack, Chic, Wanda Jackson and pioneering hardcore band The Stooges.

"Run-D.M.C. and Jam Master Jay being considered for The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is an honor and a dream come true," Joseph "Rev Run" Simmons told AllHipHop.com exclusively. "I pray that my DJ, Jam Master Jay is resting in peace and smiling ear to ear. D.M.C. and Jay, job well done! This is exciting beyond belief."

The 24th annual 2009 induction ceremony, which is open to the public for the first time in the Museum’s history, is slated to take place April 4 at Public Hall in Cleveland.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation was established in 1983, to recognize the contribution of musicians and their artistry to pop culture.

The Museum is located in Cleveland, Ohio and is a nonprofit organization which preserves and honors the continuing significance of popular music. The organization collects and preserves a number of artifact through exhibits, libraries, archives and educational programs.

Comprised of Joseph "Run" Simmons, Darryl "D.M.C." McDaniels and the late Jason "Jam Master Jay" Mizell, Run-D.M.C. dropped their self titled debut album Run-D.M.C. in 1984 for New York City independent label, Profile Records.

Run-D.M.C. is credited with bringing Hip-Hop to the masses, through hits like "My Adidas," "Peter Piper," "Walk This Way," "Mary Mary."

Each year, The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s nominating committee, which is comprised of rock and roll historians, selects the nominees, who are not eligible until 25 years after their first album was released.

Then, a body of over 500 international experts vote, and the performers who receive the highest number of votes and more than 50 percent of the vote are inducted. There are usually five to seven performers each year.

In 2007, Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five were the first Hip-Hop group to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
