Tanya Vlach lost her eye in a 2005 car accident and wears a realistic acrylic prosthesis. In her blog, monocular life, she has issued a challenge to engineers. With the approval of her doctor, she's put out a call for engineers to build an "eye cam" for her prosthesis. Her list of possible specs for the "eye-cam" include: DVR capabilities, MPEG-4 compression, with a miniSD Slot, A/V out, Bluetooth, and more. Sounds like a complex procedure.

You've all seen a [2.0] USB cable before. There has been talk about the 3.0 USB for a while now, but now the specs are officially out. The transfer speeds are 4.8 Gbps and it'll dump a 25GB HD file in about 70 seconds. It is obviously faster but as you see from the picture, the 3.0 USB will have extra pins. We should start seeing USB 3.0 equipped-gadgets around 2010

Calendar made of matches by Yurko Gutsulyak. The idea was to create as unique a calendar so that the process of its presenting would become an outstanding event. Alongside with this, it was important to expose theidea of "energy", as it is predetermined by the name and logo of the company. Each page is a month and it looks like a comb made of matches that correspond to the days. The matches are real and the construction of the calendar is absolutely safe.
